About Us

Who we are

The Grapevine African and Caribbean Network (The Grapevine ACN) is a collective of LSE African and Caribbean students- past, present and future. We aim to be a vehicle through which substantial connections and opportunities can be realised. We aim to establish a much-needed African and Caribbean network that encourages our members to not only realise the value in themselves and in those around them, but also to capitalise on the notion that 'your network is your net-worth'. As cliché as it has come to sound, its truth is undeniable.

The busy and sometimes fragmentated nature of LSE life means we are often unable to foster meaningful relationships within our student body and ultimately, alumni. The Grapevine ACN seeks to solve this problem through the maintenance of the pool of talented, skilled and inspirational students and alumni, of which we are all part. As such, our focus is on creating a thriving network of LSE's African and Caribbean students and alumni that extends far beyond Houghton Street.
